Seattle Courthouse Wedding | The Lovell’s

March 8, 2024

The Lovell’s decided to for-go the big wedding and they decided to have a Seattle courthouse wedding. There is something so magical and intimate about elopement weddings. It was the most perfect sunny day for their private nuptials, wedding portraits, and their reception on the water!

Intimate First Look Photos

This beautiful seattle couple decided to have their first looks at the Washington Park Arboretum. This historic landmark sit close to the University of Washington and it has the most picturesque footbridge. We instantly knew that this was going to be the location of when the groom was going to see his bride for the first. It was the most beautiful setting — the sun glistened through the green trees, and bridge was empty, making it perfect for first look portraits. The bride wore the most stunning white maxi elopement dress, and she had a bouquet of white roses and baby’s breath. The groom done a classic black suit and tie.

Family Portraits At The Park

The bride and groom only invite their parents, and they wanted to remember this moment so we took portraits in the park next to the bridge. The tall trees gave way to some great photos, and we took advantage. What I loved most about the photos was capturing the genuine love between them all. Their parents were so proud of them, and their admiration shined through in every photo. It was such a joy to be part of this touching moment!

Downtown Seattle Wedding Portraits

As we were making our way to the courthouse, the Lovell’s decided to have an impromptu session. I thought why not! These photos were so much fun to capture. The admiration and excitement between the two of them was so infectious! We captured a tons of authentic portraits filled with so many elopement poses and romantic couple poses.

Seattle Courthouse Wedding Ceremony

The Lovell’s had their ceremony at the Municipal Court of Seattle. Since it was such a nice day, the couple took advantage of their rooftop and had the most beautiful intimate ceremony. Their ceremony is short, sweet, and simple. Afterwards, the the whole crew had a celebatory photo in front of the courthouse, and we shot some of their first photos as husband and wife. They had so much fun with it — the couple pulled out their favorite sun shades and let loose!

The Wedding Celebration At Salty’s

Miranda and Matthew then make their way down to Salty’s on Alki Beach. This place is dubbed “One of the world’s great view restaurants” and I am here to tell its true. Salty sits right on the puget sound and you will great breathtaking views of Seattle, its no wonder that the Lovell’s chose this location to have their wedding reception with their families. Their wedding reception decor was minimal, modern and elegant. The centerpieces were baby’s breath flowers, and their signs and overall decor monochromatic of white and blacks. Although not everyone could be apart of their ceremony, they made it a point to celebrate and dance the night away with their families. They did just that!

It was a fun filled day exploring Seattle, and then ended on the beautiful waters of Elliott Bay. What an honor it was to be apart of the Miranda and Matthew’s beginning of their forever!
