Family Blended Wedding At The Crockett Farm Whidbey Island | The Henrudes

March 1, 2024

Crockett Farm on Whidbey Island is one of the most charming wedding venues in Seattle. It’s full of historic character and it is a perfect setting for a rustic wedding. This was wedding was extra special because it was a blended family wedding. The Henrudes family created some beautiful moments that I want to highlight and inspire any blended families who are looking for family wedding ideas. Let’s look at their memorial ideas!

Family Getting Ready Session

The Hensrude family have such a bond and it was incredible to capture. The bride-to-be wanted to be surrounded by her kids while she got ready for her big day. The Crockett Farm had a beautiful bride suite that was full of color and it gave the ultimate rustic backdrop and decor. The excitement of this family was so infectious, it was a day of dancing, laughter, and utter joy.

Blended Family First Look Session

The Henrudes family came up with a great idea — to do a family first look photos at the Ebey’s Reserve in Coupeville. After getting ready for the day, the family got in a limo together and rode the location. The groom was blind folded and the kids loved it! Once we arrive at the Ebey’s Reserve, we found a beautiful hillside spot for the big reveal. This moment was so tender and authentic, and you can truly feel the love between everyone.

Blended Family Wedding Portraits

The day was absolutely stunning at the Ebey’s Reserve, and we decided to take family wedding portraits. It was so important to capture bride and groom pictures, whole and individual family portraits. This was such another great blended family wedding unity idea. The portraits were timeless and stunning.

Blended Family Wedding Ceremony

The daughters wore gorgeous blush pink dresses and they walked down on aisle as bridesmaids, and the bride’s son walked her down the aisle to give her away. It was such a touching moment to witness and capture. It was truly a family affair!

A Blended Family Reception

The girls started off the reception by walking in to their choice of music — they were all so cute! Then the new bride and groom walked in to their family friends. Then after having some delicious paella, the kids took turns to say some loving words about their mom and their father. There was no a single dry eye in the room!

These blended family wedding ideas were so special and it really showed how happy they were about this union. The wedding was to celebrate the strength, admiration, and love of The Henrudes family. It was such a honor to photograph this wedding, and it was so beautiful to be apart of! Congratulations to the Henrudes family!
